Rustic, cozy, dignified ambience with a comparable menu. Friendly and fast service. But you could also make more of it. Very good location.

Very nice old country house with a decent kitchen, also with a lunch menu at lunchtime. We noticed straight away that they had prepared well for the Corona times. The food (Friday is fish day) was very nice, the prices absolutely reasonable. There was beautiful autumn decorations everywhere. The long waiting time was not so great, but the place was also well attended.

We thought we could drink a delicious cappuccino, but the cappuccino, which cost around € 3.50, tasted terrible! The staff only seemed to be friendly with regular customers and we were served breakfast! It was very untidy in the restaurant, although I don't know whether renovations were taking place. What a shame.

Nicely situated. Immediately a homely atmosphere upon entering. Staff is friendly and escort you to your table. Food is very tasty and you are occasionally asked if everything is to your liking. Portions are good and food is good quality too. Schnitzel is a must. Definitely come back again

I've already been to Essen a few times. The food tastes great, the staff is always friendly, and the interior is cozy and Urich, definitely a top recommendation

The place is great. But there is no praise for the food. Everything is something arbitrary. Maybe it can rip out coffee or cake. But I haven't tried that. A little creativity is still quite possible here.

Very disappointing for a Schnitzel Day that is offered. It was the size of a children's plate, too salty, little sauce and the salad wasn't washed properly. Every quick snack offers more. The fries were good.

Nice location with a cozy terrace. The interior is quite dated, but that is often the case in Germany. Staff seem a bit rushed.

Beer garden created with love, plus old and well-kept trees with selected flowers. Food delicious and staff professional and always friendly.

Beautiful location, friendly service even in Corona times, delicious food, moderate prices ... What more could you want! The breadcrumbs for the delicacies were a little too hard ... hardly got through with the knife ... But otherwise ... Everything was okay 💋

Was ok, but you still have a lot to learn about vegetarian food. I can do that much better as a woman who cooks at home. Otherwise, the restaurant is getting old It all looks old-fashioned

Very nice location. Only you can sometimes be left to your own devices by the ministry. Even after a few calls. First time we were even expelled from here. Half of the restaurant was empty, but it was already too busy.

Good and tasty food on a spacious corona-proof terrace.

The food was overpriced and not even to par. I ordered the salmon pasta but it was far from even edible: the fish was fried and then submerged in the floury sauce, which created a very bland taste and dry texture. Moreover, the pasta was surprisingly sticky fettuccine, maybe was left there to cool down and then the sauce was put on top later, which made it pretty terrible to consume. I paid about 20e for that dish only while my friend paid about 30e for the cold fish dish which can easily be bought elsewhere and I think this is a prime disappointment.

Cozy atmosphere, good food for a reasonable price. Spareribs and vegetarian chickpeas dish. All drink is at the price. Clean toilets. Beautiful area is next to and city park and opposite a museum.

Typical German food, priced higher than average. If the outside seating is open it's fine for a coffee and pastry but there are much better restaurants in the area.

Small portions of food served at high prices. Hardly anything was fresh, all the food has been frozen and/or overcooked. The service was slow and unfriendly and I'm not even going to mention the coffee BLEGH! Has the looks and location to be great, but fails to deliver. Travel along, better places 3 more minutes along the road.
